I still haven't finished Cult of the Amateur and need to revisit the other two. In the meantime, I'm seeing articles and titles of presentations seemingly all over the place that are fueling similar conversations about Web 2.0 and transforming librarianship.

Getting my act together
Here's the launch post of this blog. I'm motivated to finally create and maintain a blog so that Marlene Forney and I can muse about the books we're reading/reviewing for our presentation at the business meeting of the Arizona Library Association’s (AzLA) Library Information Technology Interest Group at the 2008 annual conference in December. The books we're dwelling on are:
A Whole new mind: why right brainers will rule the future by Daniel H. Pink,
Everything is miscellaneous: the power of the new digital disorder by David Weinberger and
The Cult of the amateur: How today’s internet is killing our culture by Andrew Keen
I still haven't finished Cult of the Amateur and need to revisit the other two. In the meantime, I'm seeing articles and titles of presentations seemingly all over the place that are fueling similar conversations about Web 2.0 and transforming librarianship.
